- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I was out walking (Sunday, April 9th), and was heading home when I saw a unique, older gentleman heading to the corner and cross-walk in front of Kroger on 127 South. There was something "not quite right" about his countenance and his behavior, but I just walked on past him, even though I wanted to tell him that the culvert wasn't a trash can since he had just thrown an empty water bottle down in the culvert, but then he threw change down, and I got concerned. I went on and pushed the cross walk button and anxiously waited for the light to change so I could cross. When I turned around to make sure this agitated man was no closer to me, I saw his open back and what looked like a hospital gown, so I could only imagine what others were seeing, because I wasn't going to investigate further. I got a little concerned then and when my walk sign came on, I started to cross and looked back over my shoulder to see if he had gone a different way. He hadn’t, but he wasn’t on my heels. I started to run, then I heard two sirens and saw the two police cars heading north on 127. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I'm not saying he was coming after me, but someone made a phone call, and Frankfort Police responded QUICKLY! Thank you for making me feel safe, because I walk a lot, and typically feel safe doing it. Today was scary, but I felt peace when I heard the police sirens, and saw the squads.
